Maxxed is our first pick for live dealer play. It offers a 5,000+ game lobby, deposits in BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL and LTC, and a choice of three welcome packs with no wagering. Check the live tab's supplier list yourself before depositing, because live lobbies differ more between casinos than slot lobbies do.
Slot catalogues look much the same from one offshore casino to the next. Live lobbies do not, because the biggest live supplier decides which operators it will stream to. Checking what a site really carries is the first job.
The second is choosing the bet. Inside one live lobby, the distance between the cheapest and the most expensive wager is wider than the distance between any two casinos we list.

Is the table actually live?
Offshore casinos use the word live loosely, so the first thing to settle on a new site is what you are really looking at.
A live table has a person dealing in a studio with physical equipment, such as a card shoe or a wheel, and a camera showing the result as it happens. An RNG game is software, sometimes decorated with a video backdrop, a recorded dealer or a host who never reacts. Both can be fair, but they are different products and should be priced differently.
Telling them apart takes a few seconds and no technical knowledge.
- Say something in the chat. A real dealer will greet players by name sooner or later. A recording will not.
- Find the dealer's name and the round number. Both appear on live tables and change when the dealer's shift does.
- Notice the gaps. Shuffles, jammed cards and dealer swaps all create dead time in a real studio. A stream that never pauses is suspect.
- Look for the supplier's name. If the game names no supplier anywhere, you have your answer.
Who supplies the tables
For slots, the supplier list barely separates one offshore casino from another, since nearly all of them carry Pragmatic Play. Live casino is different, and the supplier explains most of the gap between lobbies.
Evolution does not stream to every operator that asks. It picks its partners, blocks feeds by region and has left markets in the past. A casino that really carries Evolution tables, rather than look-alikes, has passed a supplier's checks, and that tells you something about the operator.
A lobby can also appear more varied than it is. Ezugi, NetEnt Live and Red Tiger are all Evolution brands, so four labels on the filter may lead back to one firm. Its studios in Riga, Malta, Tbilisi and elsewhere send the same feed to UK-licensed operators, and the dealer at your offshore table may be dealing to a British one in the same hand.
Our Evolution Gaming page covers the studio's live range in more detail, with game shows such as Crazy Time and Monopoly Big Baller and the Lightning tables.
Ranking live bets by house edge
Most of the spread in cost inside a live lobby sits within games people think of as cheap.
Basic-strategy blackjack is close to the best deal a casino offers. The side bets printed on the same layout, a few centimetres away, are among the most expensive. A player who would never touch an American wheel can add 21+3 to every hand and raise the cost of each hand about sevenfold without noticing.
| Wager | Typical return | Edge |
|---|---|---|
| Blackjack main hand, basic strategy | about 99.5% | about 0.5% |
| Lightning Blackjack, basic strategy | about 99.6% | about 0.4% |
| European roulette, all bets | 97.30% | 2.70% |
| Lightning Roulette, single number | about 97.1% | about 2.9% |
| 21+3 or Perfect Pairs side bet | about 96% | about 4% |
| Bonus segments on game show wheels | about 94 to 95% | about 5 to 6% |
Use the order, check the numbers. Exact returns depend on table rules, the number of decks and the studio, and each live game lists its own figures in the information panel. The order holds: blackjack main hand first, roulette next, side bets and game show bonuses last. The blackjack figure assumes every decision is correct, which our basic strategy guide explains.
Crazy Time and the game show maths
Game shows such as Crazy Time, Mega Ball, Funky Time and Monopoly Big Baller have grown faster than anything else in live lobbies, and mathematically they sit closer to high-volatility slots than to table games.
The thing to grasp is that each segment carries its own return. On one wheel, in one spin, backing the most frequent low number and backing the headline bonus can differ by more than a percentage point of expected return. The game's information panel lists the figure for each bet, and that is the only place it appears.
Covering every segment does not help. Spreading your stake across the whole wheel means something always lands, and it also means you pay the edge on every pound you placed. Each segment is priced with its own edge built in, so no mix of bets comes out ahead over time.
Higher ceilings and the checks behind them
Offshore live tables do take larger bets than British ones. The stream is the same Evolution feed, so the difference lies in the account.
Since 27 February 2025, UK-licensed operators have run a financial vulnerability check once net deposits reach £150 in a rolling 30 days, and financial risk assessments at £5,000 in 24 hours were confirmed for a phased start from 7 July 2026. A high-limit seat is little use if the account funding it stops for documents, which is largely why high-stakes UK play drifted offshore. Our affordability checks guide covers each threshold.
At the table, maximums are set per bet according to risk. On blackjack the advertised maximum is the main hand; side bets are capped much lower. On roulette a five-figure headline refers to even-money bets, with single numbers limited to a small part of it. Read the limits panel for the bet you plan to make.
Things that go wrong mid-session
Live play has problems slots never do, and it is better to know them before you sit down.
Losing the connection
Once a bet is placed it stands, even if your connection drops. A blackjack hand is finished by the operator's default rule, frequently standing on your total, which may not be how you would have played it.
Each casino publishes a disconnection policy that few people read. Read it before playing hands that cost real money, and use wifi in preference to mobile data.
Full tables and shared hands
Classic blackjack tables have seven seats and fill up in the evening. Infinite Blackjack and similar tables let unlimited players join by dealing one shared hand, so you lose sole influence over the shoe and the pace follows the slowest player.
Bonus weighting
Live games usually count for a small share of a slot spin towards wagering, and blackjack is often excluded because its edge is so small. Read the terms before planning to clear an offer at a live table; our wagering requirements guide explains how it works.
What leaving the UK system costs you
Live casino is where offshore and UK products are closest: same dealer, same studio, same cards and wheel. Everything that changes is administrative, and administrative still matters when money is involved.
- GamStop does not apply. How GamStop works covers what the scheme blocks. Live tables move faster and at higher stakes than most slot sessions. If you registered because gambling had become a problem, leave the exclusion in place; GamCare offers free support on 0808 8020 133.
- Withdrawals can often be reversed offshore. UK sites cannot offer this. A live table is an easy place to spend a cash-out you have just cancelled.
- No approved dispute service. If you dispute how a dropped hand was settled, the casino decides first and its regulator after that, with nobody independent in between.
- Documents are requested at withdrawal. See KYC at offshore casinos. If a site's terms exclude your country, read using a VPN offshore, because most terms treat a VPN as a reason to withhold winnings.
- The higher limits come from lighter checks. Put plainly, the advantage is reduced oversight, and you should weigh it that way.
Pre-table checklist
- Confirm the table is live: a named dealer, a round number, natural pauses and a credited supplier.
- Find out which supplier it is. Several brands on the filter may belong to one company.
- Read the published return for the exact bet you plan to make in the game's information panel.
- At blackjack, decide on side bets before you sit down; they cost several times the main hand.
- Read the disconnection policy and switch to wifi.
- Read the operator's withdrawal terms and our rating method before depositing.
